The primary focus of the Logistics Systems Analyst role within Marvin is to provide distribution support for products from manufacturing plant to consumer.  This will include all aspects from planning and scheduling through customer acquisition. In this role you will be part of a team that oversees and manages information systems, both hardware and software, related to distribution activities.  Duties will include systems oversight, troubleshooting business and systems challenges, maintenance, system testing, training and consulting services on the capabilities and functions of the logistics systems.  The right candidate will leverage strong analysis and problem-solving skills to improve processes and create greater efficiencies in window and door planning and distribution.


Business Partnership (25%)

  • Train and provide subject matter expertise for Marvin staff on system capabilities and functions
  • Partner with business analysts and programmer analysts to share best practices to maximize the benefits of new solutions
  • Skilled business and technical communication (business conversations with business partners, technical conversation with technology partners)

Business Analysis and Solution Delivery (75%)

  • Set up hardware and software and provide remote support for end users.
  • Ability to learn the Marvin distribution, logistics and ICIM environment and assess impacts of proposed system changes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities
  • Define opportunities when identified and work cross-functionally to determine business impacts
  • Support priority alignment and critical needs
  • Design, prepare and execute unit, systems integration, and user acceptance test plans
  • Set up system and parameters to support new distribution initiatives, align with business solution architect to align on strategic solution approaches and priorities, and gain solution alignment with stakeholders
  • Manage projects to ensure deliverables are met, with postproduction launch support and continuous improvement

  • Must have strong, demonstrated analytical skills – including how to interpret internal and external customer business needs and translate them into application, data, and operational requirements
  • Testing skills and the ability to execute test cases
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a cross-functional environment
  • Desire to learn and be adaptable to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of systems supporting manufacturing process; knowledge of Marvin internal manufacturing IT systems is desired
  • Ability to travel (15%)
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or software development life-cycle experience is preferred; but not required

  • 4 Year Degree or Equivalent Experience preferred
  • 5 Years Business Analysis Experience preferred
  • IT or Related Logical Problem-Solving Disciplines required
  • Strong Analytical or Process Oriented Background and Experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a business operation, manufacturing a plus.
