• Answer the phone
• Continuously monitor emails and respond in a timely manner
• Keep the dispatch/load board up to date
• Price Shipments
• Obtain all information necessary to dispatch the proper truck(s) to the correct pickup and delivery points, as well as all information necessary for the proper rating and invoicing of the shipment.
• Dispatch trucks and maintain control of each shipment until it reaches its destination
• Immediately report any incident or accident to Terminal Manager Secure all permits
• Be responsible for correct address and phone number of each customer
• Report customer complaints or lost business to Terminal Manager
• Coordinate all activity with the next dispatcher shift each evening and each morning.
