The IPM Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the facility’s pest and disease prevention strategies within the cultivation environment. This role ensures the consistent health of cannabis crops by leading a dedicated team in executing preventative and responsive measures aligned with company standards, state regulations, and cGMP protocols.

Working cross-functionally with other cultivation departments, the IPM Manager plays a critical role in maintaining optimal plant health and supporting high-yield, high-quality production. This position combines hands-on oversight, data-driven decision making, and people development to drive continuous improvement within the IPM program.

• Lead, train, and develop a high-performing IPM team focused on early detection, accurate diagnosis, and effective treatment of pests and pathogens. 
• Design and implement comprehensive IPM strategies tailored to the facility’s cultivation schedule, plant lifecycle stages, and environmental conditions. 
• Monitor and document pest/pathogen pressure, application records, and treatment efficacy to guide proactive decision-making and ensure regulatory compliance. 
• Collaborate with Cultivation, Propagation, Veg, Flower, Irrigation, and QA teams to align integrated health protocols and sanitation practices. 
• Ensure proper, safe, and compliant use of pesticides and biological controls in accordance with company SOPs and state regulations. 
• Drive continuous process improvement by updating SOPs, training materials, and application schedules based on scouting data, industry trends, and team feedback. 
• Foster a culture of accountability, attention to detail, and professionalism across the team.
• Support the onboarding and performance development of IPM associates and leads.
•  Assist in budget planning and inventory management for pest control supplies and equipment. 
• Other duties as assigned

•  3+ years of experience in commercial cannabis cultivation or greenhouse production, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. 
• Strong working knowledge of IPM principles, cannabis pests and pathogens, and safe pesticide application protocols.
• Experience managing a team and promoting a collaborative, solutions-focused work environment. 
• Familiarity with cGMP, OSHA standards, and cultivation regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills. 
• Full-face respirator and Tyvek suit usage is required for up to 1–2 hours at a time during scheduled spray applications. 
• You must successfully pass a respirator fit test, which requires you to be clean-shaven where the respirator seals to the face. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with Biotrack software is preferred. 
• Knowledge of plant health and sampling techniques is preferred. 
• Familiarity with the usage of Restricted Use Pesticides and IPM practices. 
• Able to follow detailed instruction and capable of performing repetitive tasks. 
• Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment. 
• Willing to learn about, operate and maintain facility equipment in a safe manner. 
• Comfortable with heights, soil and water, and tight spaces. 
• Ability to climb, squat, bend, twist, kneel and stand for at least 8 hours per day, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be 21 years of age or older, and able to successfully register with the state’s cannabis commission as an agent.
• Must comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.

• Preferred 1-3 years' experience in current position.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. 
• Previous experience in a regulated production facility (food, beverage, CPG, etc.). 
• Basic knowledge of plant structure and horticulture preferred. 
• Florida RUP License or equivalent pesticide application certification.
• Experience writing or maintaining SOPS.
• Background in plant science, agronomy, horticulture, or a related field.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb. Able to stand for 90% of the time. Comfortable with heights, occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights, filters, trellis netting and ceiling fans up to 25ft. Comfortable working atop and traversing scaffolding, when required. Comfortable with changing environment temperatures and humidity. Exposure to pollen, dust, dander, and other nature elements. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
