Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance processes for firmware, backend systems, and tooling solutions used in cellular IoT devices
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for embedded software, backend systems, and embedded AI models
  • Perform thorough end-to-end testing of IoT physical products, including functional, integration, regression, and system testing
  • Work directly with physical devices for hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and validation of hardware and software interactions
  • Collaborate closely with development, hardware, electronics, and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality and resolve issues efficiently
  • Actively monitor fleet of devices in the field for optimal operation
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and automation frameworks
  • Stay current with emerging IoT technologies and recommend innovations that align with business goals
  • Additional job duties as assigned

Skills/Experience Required:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a strong focus on embedded systems and IoT technologies
  • Proven experience designing and executing test plans for firmware, backend systems, and hardware/software integration
  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems testing, including microcontrollers and cellular communication
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to quality improvement
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to work independently and lead QA initiatives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to independently manage all aspects of the job role including required goals and business practices in a remote environment
