Job description

Key responsibilities
  • Scanning inventory for receipt upon delivery of product from supplier.
  • Assisting Receiving Coordinator with posting receipts in SAP.
  • Unloading trucks.
  • Verifying quantities upon receipt of material and verifying packing list paperwork matches actual receipt quantity.
  • Entering ASN data as required to ensure receipt is processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support the shipping, customer service and accounting departments by communicating all shipping documentation to the customers and appropriate internal departments.
  • Provide specific order tracking, routing and EDI information primarily through phone conversations and emails.
  • Periodically will require processing of miscellaneous shipments including parcel shipments using UPS/FedEx software.
  • Have a working knowledge of the receiving dock functions including material handler job duties including repacks and labelling requirements.
  • Printing transfer orders for put away and printing labels. At times helping label product to ensure that all material is identified accurately.
  • Complete Bill of Lading for transportation.
  • Make carrier arrangements as required.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What we're looking for
  • Completion of high school or equivalent required. Associates Degree/ or two more years of related experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one-year related experience
  • Strong keyboarding and scanning skills
  • Strong operating forklift experience and skills
  • Good conflict resolution skills
  • Good math and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of shipping, packaging, labeling and trucking concepts
  • Ability to adapt schedule to meet customer shipping/production schedules
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound carrier and shipment decisions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of customer specifications and process all information to described specifications
  • Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals including customers, carriers, outside freight forwarders, production, customer service, quality, and materials/planning
  • Ability to work safely and within the established safe work practices, policies, and procedures of the Arden plant
  • Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, related software includes SAP, Word, and Excel
  • Chrysler Corporations Smart Program preferred
  • SAP shipping/receiving functions preferred
  • Knowledge of the SAP EDI Programs preferred
  • Attendance on the job is essential.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
