The Inventory Audit Specialists primary responsibility is to conduct daily reconciliation inventory between UNC and all 3rd Party warehouse partners. This includes processing inbound and outbound shipments for all 3rd Party DC's on a daily basis to ensure timely adjustments to inventory. They will oversee and report on all inventory accuracy and shipment related processes at 3rd Parties including but not limited to Cycle Counting, On Time Receiving & Loading, Inventory Accuracy, Vendor On Timer Performance, Truck Turn Times, and Shuttle Shipment execution.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Posting Daily Shipment and Receipts at 3rd Party Warehouses within UNC ERP system and ensure all outbound shipments are accompanied with required paperwork.
  • Daily Reconciliation between UNC and 3rd Party systems - Ensuring inventory alignment and researching and correcting any variances
  • Ensure transaction alignment between 3rd Party warehouses and UNC sites by shipment.
  • SAP Workflow Management - Monitor SAP Transaction Alert system and research and clear alerts to enable the completion of the processing of SAP transactions.
  • Monitor Inventory rotation out of 3rd Party warehouse to ensure proper inventory rotation to reduce risk of Inventory obsolescence.
  • Report on 3rd Party Dock Schedule performance to help Distribution team ensure that we have the proper amount of 3rd Party Resource support to meet the Inbound and Outbound requirements of UNC. Ie. Enough daily loading and unloading appointment slots.
  • Provide directions to 3rd Party warehouses and ensure completion on any ad hoc physical cycle counts required.
  • Support Director of Distribution in monitoring of Inventory Alignment between 3rd Party System and 3rd Party physical.
  • Support any annual physical inventory audits required by UNC's Finance Audit Partner (Dobkins)
  • Detects, analyzes, and resolves data issues and inconsistencies and communicates to warehouse staff as appropriate to drive corrective actions.
  • Provides outstanding customer service, both internally and externally.
  • Supports in the management and communication of customer specific inventories where required. I.e. Monster
  • Provides data and publishes 3rd Party site scorecards for Space Utilization, Truck Turns, Cycle Count & Inventory Accuracy, and Dock Performance.
  • Supports accuracy of site performance metrics owned by Procurement for Inventory Investment $, Obsolete Inventory Risk, Inventory Health and Inventory Turns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education Requirements:
Associates degree plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service and office clerical, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in material handling and/or logistics is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills - Required:
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to operate in fast paced dynamic environment
  • Strong Mathematical Skill Foundation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Shipping and Receiving Processes
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook applications.
  • Strong system acumen. Proficient in ERP and WMS transactions.
  • Ability to make decisions and exercise judgment to manage order flows.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.

The Inventory Audit Specialist maintains confidentiality with respect to Upstate Niagara's customer information.
Management Responsibility:
The Inventory Audit Specialist works under the direction of the Director of Distribution and operates within established processes and procedures. This is an independent contributor role with no managerial responsibility.
Work Environment:
The Inventory Audit Specialist operates in a general office environment with extended periods of time spent sitting and is required to operate standard office equipment (Ex. Fax, copier, scanner, printer, and computer).
Pay:
$26.00-$30.00 per hour*

Actual compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, training, knowledge, education, and overall qualifications. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
