Position Summary
The Inventory Forecaster is responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, creating and managing purchase orders, coordinating inbound freight, and maintaining optimal inventory levels across Specialty Beverage's portfolio of brands.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $68,000 annually
Location: Sandston, VA
Reports To: Operations Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze sales trends, seasonal transitions, limited releases, and demand patterns to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Submit, review, and manage purchase orders for assigned suppliers and adjust orders as projections change.
  • Build strong supplier relationships to ensure timely product availability.
  • Communicate with warehouse leadership to prioritize incoming shipments.
  • Analyze inventory reports to reduce carrying costs and minimize out-of-stock situations.
  • Work closely with management, sales, warehouse staff, and suppliers to address quality concerns.
  • Communicate regularly with General Manager, Sales Manager, and Brand Managers regarding inventory performance.
  • Schedule inbound freight using internal resources or transportation management systems.
  • Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience with inventory, forecasting, ERP, or supply chain systems preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
