Sun Rise Horizon Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our multidisciplinary team. This position is primarily remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while ensuring that mental health services remain accessible. The work involves managing a climate-controlled home office, where you will collaborate regularly with colleagues through virtual platforms. Our practice is structured to offer therapeutic services in a school setting, enabling you to engage with students and families in a meaningful way. • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients using standardized tools, including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), to diagnose and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress in therapy, adjusting treatment plans as needed to improve mental health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including treatment records and reports, in accordance with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to establish a comprehensive treatment strategy that reflects the unique needs and cultural diversities of the patient population served.
• Provide education and mentorship to students, interns, and volunteers, enhancing their understanding of clinical social work practices.
• Actively participate in peer reviews, and engage in clinical collaboration to foster a supportive network within the organization.

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will primarily work with individuals and families who are navigating the complex emotional challenges associated with cancer diagnoses. This position requires sensitivity to the needs of a diverse clientele, addressing mental health concerns related to grief, anxiety, and coping strategies. Providing empathetic support and therapeutic interventions will be essential in improving patient resilience and overall mental health.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and clinical standards in mental health care.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a variety of patient demographics.

• Previous experience working in an outpatient setting, particularly with children and adolescents.
• Experience providing therapy to individuals affected by serious health conditions such as cancer.
• Familiarity with telehealth services and digital record management systems.

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
