Founded in Houston in 2002, Genesys Works now operates across seven markets nationwide and continues to expand its impact. Since launching in 2019, Genesys Works NYC has rapidly grown to support more than 60 interns annually, with plans to significantly scale over the next several years to meet increasing employer demand for diverse, early-career talent. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a relationship-driven and results-oriented Corporate Partnerships Manager to help deepen employer partnerships, drive internship growth, and create exceptional experiences for both students and corporate partners.

Position Overview

The Corporate Account Manager serves as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of corporate partners and plays a critical role in advancing Genesys Works in NYC’s growth strategy. Reporting to the Regional Director of Corporate Engagement, this role is responsible for strengthening existing partnerships, driving internship seat retention and expansion, and ensuring a high-quality experience for corporate stakeholders and student interns. This position combines strategic account management, stakeholder engagement, workforce partnership development, and operational execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at managing multiple priorities, and is passionate about creating equitable career opportunities for young adults. Success in this role will be measured through partner retention, internship growth, stakeholder satisfaction, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Account Management

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing corporate partners through strategic relationship management and consistent engagement
  • Maintain a target of 85% internship seat retention while identifying opportunities for account growth and expansion
  • Cultivate strong relationships with executive sponsors, hiring managers, supervisors, and key decision-makers across partner organizations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate partners and ensure a best-in-class partner experience

Partnership Growth & Strategy

  • Partner with the Regional Director and Executive Director to execute annual internship growth goals
  • Identify opportunities to increase internship placements within existing accounts and across new business units
  • Monitor workforce trends, hiring activity, and organizational changes across partner organizations to proactively identify risks and growth opportunities
  • Generate and qualify new partnership leads in collaboration with the Director of Corporate Engagement

Internship & Program Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Program Manager to support successful intern placements and overall partner satisfaction
  • Provide strategic insights on partner culture, workplace expectations, and internship opportunities to support student success
  • Support onboarding and training processes for corporate supervisors and interns
  • Participate in regular account management meetings with Program Coordinators to align on partner needs and intern performance

Operations & Account Administration

  • Lead account operations for assigned partners, including contracts, onboarding logistics, internship documentation, invoicing support, and related systems management
  • Maintain accurate and timely partner, opportunity, and internship data within Salesforce CRM
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and execution across all stages of the partnership lifecycle
  • Support timely payment processing and account reconciliation activities as needed

External Representation & Engagement

  • Represent Genesys Works NYC at networking events, community engagements, employer meetings, and industry events
  • Support employer engagement initiatives through presentations, relationship cultivation, and strategic outreach
  • Collaborate with the national marketing team to develop customized partner-facing materials and presentations

Additional Responsibilities

  • Contribute to team-wide initiatives and organizational priorities as needed
  • Perform other duties aligned with the goals and mission of Genesys Works NYC

Qualifications

  • Passion for the mission, values, and long-term impact of Genesys Works
  • Proven success in strategic account management, partnership growth, business development, or enterprise client management environments
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and expand existing accounts through executive relationship management, consultative engagement, and opportunity identification
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and influencing decision-makers across multiple levels of an organization
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities, mitigate partnership risk, and drive retention strategies
  • Track record of achieving or exceeding performance metrics related to account growth, retention, revenue generation, or partnership expansion
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with organizational growth objectives
  • Highly organized and results-driven with the ability to manage multiple high-priority partnerships simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management tools; Salesforce experience strongly preferred
  • Self-starter with a high degree of ownership, accountability, and strategic problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience in workforce development, talent solutions, staffing, education partnerships, or mission-driven organizations is a plus
  • Ability to represent Genesys Works externally through executive meetings, networking events, and strategic partnership engagement opportunities
