What You'll Do
  • Teach private and group pickleball lessons.
  • Lead clinics, events, and tournaments.
  • Deliver exceptional member service on and off the court.
  • Support all aspects of the Pickleball program.
  • Help create a fun, welcoming, and engaging environment for members and guests.
What You Bring
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.
  • Previous pickleball teaching and programming experience required.
  • RSPA and/or PPR certification required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • High-end club or resort experience preferred.

JOB DETAILS
Responsibilities:
On Court:
  • Performs both private and group lessons upon request.
  • When necessary, assists in teaching clinics for men, women, and juniors.
  • Facilitate drop-in and round-robins as assigned.
  • Assist with pickleball camp lessons throughout the year.
  • Assist in the planning, supervising, and running of pickleball events at Desert Mountain.
  • Maintain current and up to date knowledge in teaching methods and styles.
  • Maintain current knowledge of paddles, balls, and courts, including construction and materials.
Off Court:
  • Visible and actively engages Members to grow participation and share Desert Mountain updates.
  • Introduces new events into the pickleball program that provide a greater opportunity for members to participate and enjoy the game.
  • Develops appropriate signage for pickleball events and activities to improve member awareness and recognition of the program.
  • Assists other teammates in the racquets department and other departments as requested.
  • Possesses working knowledge of all required computer systems, including POS and Microsoft Office.
  • Promote events, clinics, leagues, and activities by calling members.
  • Be available to the members to promote yourself and the pickleball program.
  • Assists in the set-up of the ball machine.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Pickleball Professional, and Director of Racquet Sports.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • Required to stand and walk - Constantly
  • Required to reach, stoop, and kneel - Frequently
  • Required to push and/or pull, and lift and/or move up to 35 pounds - Frequently
  • Required to be on feet for long periods of time.
  • Considerable consecutive hours outside in very physical environment with varying conditions.
  • Exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather - Occasionally
  • Required to work, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
