Description:

The Physical Logistics High Voltage Battery Intern supports assigned projects, work packages, and daily operational activities under the guidance of department mentors during the ramp up phase of Plant Woodruff. Special focus will be given to digitalization efforts which include virtual reality projects for associate training initiatives. Knowledge of Apex Platform programming, Unreal Engine or Unity programming, and Python programming are a plus. Also supports data collection, process review, and identification of opportunities for improvement within internal processes.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

  • Support tracking of project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and open issues to help ensure timely follow-up.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to support communication, documentation, and completion of assigned tasks.
  • Help prepare project and work package status updates related to progress, milestones, risks, and next steps.
  • Support data collection, process review, and identification of opportunities for improvement within internal processes.
  • Support in programming efforts for the Apex Platform, Unreal Engine or Unity programming, and Python programming topics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Degrees: Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Prior internship, co-op, academic project, or work experience in logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, project coordination, or process improvement is preferred but not required.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize tasks, manage priorities, follow instructions, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Interest in logistics operations, quality systems, continuous improvement, and project support.
  • Ability to learn department processes, ask questions, apply feedback, and complete assigned work within established timelines.
  • Knowledge of Apex Platform, Unreal or Unity, and Python programming.
  • Posses a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major.)
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week.)
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE January 11-May 14th, 2027.
