What It's Like to Be a Business Relationship Manager at SkyOne Federal Credit Union

As a Business Relationship Manager, you will drive organic growth through proactive, field-based business development. You will focus on acquiring new business relationships, generating accounts, and expanding core business deposits by building strong financial connections with prospective and existing members. This highly outbound role will have you spending much of your time outside the branch networking, cold calling, attending community events, delivering on-site presentations, and leveraging referrals to support SkyOne's Service and Sales Model.

You will also partner closely with internal teams to create a seamless onboarding experience and deliver exceptional service to business members. While this role does not include direct people management responsibilities, it plays a vital part in strengthening business relationships and helping members achieve their financial goals.

Would You Be a Great Business Relationship Manager?

To thrive in this role, you'll bring strong business development instincts, relationship-building skills, and a passion for helping business members succeed. You should be confident with cold calling, outbound prospecting, networking, and developing a personal business development plan that helps you consistently meet sales goals.

Success also requires strong CRM and pipeline management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to represent SkyOne professionally at community events and business meetings. You'll collaborate with internal partners, build lasting relationships with business owners and decision-makers, and ensure all activities align with SkyOne's compliance, risk management, and service standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum fouryear business degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum three to five years of experience in business banking, business development, or relationshipbased sales.
  • Demonstrated success in fieldbased business development and outbound prospecting.
  • Strong consultative sales, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Highly selfmotivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of business deposit products and financial services.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
