Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Program Coordinator Intern to join our team. As a Clinical Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of behavioral health programs, ensuring their smooth operation and effectiveness. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a deep understanding of behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving mental health outcomes and possess the ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff and interns to ensure that programs are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Education & Experience:
  • Current Master's student, or recent graduate.
  • Applicants must be pursuing or have a completed Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, or a related field. Those with equivalent work experience will be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily operational processes of behavioral health programs to enhance mental health outcomes.
  • Assist in the review and assessment of case management documents, progress notes, and treatment plans for accuracy and compliance.
  • Learn complex referrals requiring additional review and intervention.
  • Assist in ensuring clinical progress notes adhere to grammar, clinical terminology, and format standards.
  • Learn to plan and allocate resources for program activities to achieve program objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to foster effective program relationships.
  • Learn to develop and implement program directives, training materials, and procedural guidelines.
  • Learn to conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in behavioral health services and propose strategic solutions.
  • Assist in monitoring program progress, evaluate outcomes, and prepare reports using data-driven insights.
  • Understanding compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Assist in training and supporting program staff on internal behavioral health platforms and program procedures.
  • Stay informed about current behavioral health trends, research, and best practices for program enhancement.
  • Learn to document program policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain operational consistency.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote program initiatives and increase community awareness.
  • Assist in overseeing internship program policies, recruit and mentor interns, and ensure compliance with internship guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications:.
  • At least a year of Clinical Coordination experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in case management.
  • Must have knowledge of treatment plan writing, biopsychosocial assessments, and Clinical documentation, in the form of clinical summaries, clinical progress notes, and DAP format.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health services, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and support program staff.
  • Willing to adapt to a flexible schedule
  • Must consent to and pass a formal background check including fingerprinting.
  • Willing to work onsite in Union, NJ

Schedule:
We are offering flexible hours. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can commit to the office five days a week, for at least 3 to 4 hours.

At Neuropath, strong performance matters. If an intern's performance demonstrates consistent proficiency in required skills, they may be invited to continue their internship into the next semester. For current students, the internship may be extended throughout their academic enrollment, provided they maintain the expected standards of performance and professional conduct.
Our Corporate and Administrative Internship positions at Neuropath are designed as structured learning and development experiences, with a minimum commitment of six (6) months. Completion of our internship program - whether as an undergraduate or as a graduate with a bachelor's degree - does not guarantee employment. While participation in the internship may lead to consideration for a paid role, transition to employment is not automatic or guaranteed. Hiring decisions are determined by organizational needs, position availability, and the individual's demonstrated readiness for the role.
Interns seeking to transition into a paid position must meet the following criteria:
  • Successful completion of the full 6-month internship term.
  • Completion of all required training and workflow processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all core responsibilities, with the ability to perform assigned tasks independently and comprehensively without direct supervision.
  • Successful performance reviews at both the 90-day and 180-day milestones.
  • Ability to commute to our office in Union, NJ.

Current students who have not yet graduated are not eligible for paid employment in administrative positions but may continue as interns. Candidates without a degree will be considered for entry-level roles (e.g., Client Services) on a case-by-case basis.
All interns - regardless of educational background - must exhibit the level of competency required to meet the demands of the position, including adaptability, technical proficiency, communication skills, and a thorough understanding of our operational standards. This applies equally to entry-level roles such as Client Service Administrators (CSA). We do not hire interns into trainee positions; all hires must be prepared to assume full responsibilities from day one.
Pay Range: $0 per hour
