Job description

As a Project Coordinator II, you will use your intermediate time management and communication skills to collaborate with vendors, suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring project deliverables are met on time. Your primary duties include administering the HADES portfolio, coordinating project activities, supporting training classes, gather aircraft data, and maintaining project and training documentation.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Support training events by coordinating administrative and classroom activities.
  • Break projects into actionable tasks and set timeframes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to facilitate project execution and assign tasks to internal teams.
  • Assist with schedule management and ensure client needs are met as projects evolve.
  • Help prepare budgets and analyze risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor project progress and address issues through proper communication and escalation.
  • Act as a point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders.
  • Work with the Program Manager to remove roadblocks.
  • Use tools to monitor and control performance, plans, and expenditures.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and status reports.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 2+ years of experience in a related field.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Intermediate understanding of project management methodologies.

  • Fundamental MS Office Skills.

  • Ability to manage time effectively.

  • Demonstrated ownership of tasks, organization skills and attention to detail.

  • Possess strong communication and client-facing, teamwork skills.

  • Experience with Training activities
  • Successful Candidates will demonstrate:

    • Agility and responsiveness in a fast paced environment.

    • Familiarity with program execution.

    • Results driven regardless the task.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.

  • Certification in Project Management [e.g., Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP)].

  • Advanced proficiency in project management software.

  • Prior Experience with:

    • Administration of training classes, including documentation and logistical support
    • Development of proposals to include administrative tasks as assigned.

    • Data entry into Project Management (PM) Systems.

    • Collaborating with internal Leadership, vendors, suppliers, other stakeholders, and internal teams, such as Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads, Control Account Managers (CAMs), Tech Leads, and Project Administrators (PAs) to ensure program activities will accomplish objectives.

    • Conflict resolution especially those related to resource assignments.

    • Monitoring project progress against baseline schedule and facilitating process improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.

  • Strong hand/finger dexterity for typing and document handling.

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

  • Occasional travel may be required.
