Nscale enables AI-focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. Our GPU cloud bolsters technical capabilities and directly supports strategic business outcomes, including cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility. We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you'll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you'll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.

About The Role

We are looking for a Director, Strategic Project Management to lead the project management and executive operations function for Business Operations and Strategic Programs. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for running the PMO, managing the operating cadence for senior leadership, and driving cross-functional execution across complex datacentre, manufacturing, and infrastructure programmes. You will bring structure, visibility, and accountability to Nscale's most important programmes, ensuring leadership has a clear view of priorities, risks, dependencies, and decisions. You will work closely with Legal, Procurement, Construction, Operations, and senior stakeholders to keep critical initiatives moving at pace while building the processes and reporting rhythms needed for scale. This role will manage a small team of senior project managers, including ownership of PMO execution, internal cadence, construction liaison activity, integrated master scheduling, contract governance, and post-handoff construction programme delivery.

What You'll be Doing
  • Lead the PMO across active datacentre, manufacturing, and infrastructure programmes, owning governance, visibility, risk tracking, and cross-programme dependency management.
  • Own integrated master scheduling governance, ensuring milestones, dependencies, critical paths, and contract-related requirements are visible and actively managed.
  • Drive programme execution from scoping through delivery and closeout, ensuring priorities are clearly defined, owners are accountable, and progress is tracked to completion.
  • Manage project scheduling and task management across tools such as Linear, Procore, Jira, MS Project, or equivalent systems.
  • Establish programme governance frameworks, reporting cadences, escalation protocols, and executive-ready status reporting.
  • Improve time-to-power outcomes by aligning programme plans with operational readiness gates and decision-making milestones.
  • Build and maintain risk registers, escalating critical issues with clear mitigation recommendations.
  • Manage the operating cadence for senior leadership, including QBRs, leadership forums, weekly reviews, strategic planning sessions, agendas, pre-reads, and follow-up actions.
  • Prepare executive briefing materials, leadership updates, board-level materials, and decision documents with clarity and pace.
  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, Supply Chain, Construction, and Operations to keep vendor onboarding, contract reviews, sourcing cycles, and programme timelines aligned.
  • Design and document operational processes for the Business Operations function as it scales.
  • Work alongside process optimisation leaders to build the internal coordination framework for cross-functional execution.
  • Manage, develop, and create clear operating rhythms for two senior project managers, ensuring the team has the context, standards, and accountability needed to deliver.
About You
  • 8+ years of experience in programme management, project management, PMO leadership, executive operations, or strategic operations.
  • Proven experience running PMO governance for complex, multi-site, capital-intensive, infrastructure, construction, datacentre, manufacturing, or technology programmes.
  • Strong ability to build structure in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, including programme frameworks, reporting rhythms, ownership models, and escalation paths.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to produce polished materials quickly and represent senior leadership credibly.
  • Hands-on experience with project and task management tooling such as Linear, Procore, Jira, MS Project, or similar platforms.
  • Strong commercial and operational judgement, with the ability to connect programme execution to business outcomes, timelines, risk, and leadership priorities.
  • Experience coordinating with Legal, Procurement, Supply Chain, and cross-functional partners to remove blockers and keep delivery on track.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead senior individual contributors or project managers, setting clear standards while supporting development and performance.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels, moving from board-level materials to detailed project plans without losing momentum.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in GPU cloud, AI infrastructure, hyperscale datacentres, cloud infrastructure, construction, energy, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with integrated master scheduling methodology and contract governance in capital programmes.
  • Experience supporting executive operating cadence for VP, President, or C-level stakeholders.
  • PMP, Prince2, PgMP, or equivalent project/programme management certification.
  • Experience with post-handoff construction, operational readiness, or construction-to-operations transition programmes.
Why this role matters

This role is critical to Nscale's ability to execute complex infrastructure programmes with speed, discipline, and visibility. As Nscale grows, the business needs a dedicated leader who can turn strategic priorities into coordinated execution, ensure risks and dependencies are managed before they become blockers, and give senior leadership a reliable operating cadence. By leading the PMO and executive operations function, you will create the structure that enables faster decisions, cleaner accountability, stronger cross-functional coordination, and better delivery outcomes across Nscale's most important programmes.
