Job Summary:
AFC Industries is a dynamic organization dedicated to providing supply chain management solutions for fasteners and assembly components. The Strategic Project Manager is responsible for leading enterprise technology, integration, and business transformation initiatives, partnering closely with executive leadership to ensure successful project delivery aligned with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Lead enterprise-wide initiatives that support AFC's growth strategy.
• Partner with executive leadership to prioritize project scope and priorities.
• Managing and tracking multiple IT projects such as ERP System conversions, software development/deployment, and corporate business integrations to successful completion.
• Plan, execute, monitor, and close projects in alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate regular status meetings, steering committee reviews, and executive briefings.
• Track project KPIs and provide transparent reporting on progress, milestones, and budget burn.
• Manage vendor and third-party relationships, contracts, and deliverable accountability.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project artifacts and lessons learned.
• Drive change management activities to ensure successful adoption of project outcomes.
• Develop and deploy training resources.
• Assist with managing integration efforts with acquired companies.
• Assist with project tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Degree in project management, information technologies, or equivalent work experience
• Certification or experience with PERT project management methodology
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a project manager
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects to successful completion.
• Proficient in Office 365 applications.
• Demonstrated expertise in project planning, execution, risk management, and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated skill and solid expertise in project planning, management, and reporting
• Efficient in time management and prioritizing tasks with the ability to efficiently see numerous tasks through to completion.
• Proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders across executive, operational, and technical teams.
• Ability to navigate competing priorities and drive consensus among cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
• Prefer experience within the warehouse distribution industry
• Experience with managing ERP migrations is a plus
• Preference for experience as an operator in the components distribution and warehousing functions
