Guaranteed Motor Cars is one of the premier pre-owned luxury and high-volume dealerships in the Chicagoland area. With an inventory of over 500 hand-selected, high-demand vehicles, a dedicated BDC driving floor traffic, and aggressive lending relationships, we give our sales team every tool they need to close deals and hit major volume targets. 
We are looking for a relentless, metric-driven Automotive Sales Manager to take command of our sales floor, mentor our sales representatives, structure profitable deals, and push our monthly unit count to new heights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Floor & Desk Management: Work the desk, structure deals, present numbers, and step in to close customers on the floor.
  • Team Coaching & Accountability: Daily execution of sales meetings, pipeline reviews, track rep metrics, and coach sales associates to increase conversion rates. 
  • Lender & Deal Structuring: Work directly with our aggressive lender partners to maximize approvals, structure financing, and optimize back-end gross profit.
  • Inventory & Merchandising: Maintain intimate knowledge of our 500+ unit inventory, assist in vehicle pricing/merchandising strategies, and keep the sales lot moving fast.
  • Customer Retention & CSI: Maintain high customer satisfaction standards, handle escalated customer inquiries, and protect dealership brand reputation.
Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 2–5+ years of successful Automotive Sales Management / Desking experience. 
  • Track Record: Proven ability to drive unit volume, increase front/back-end profitability, and maintain strong lender relationships.
  • Execution: Master at closing deals, overcoming objections, and training sales reps on modern sales processes. 
  • Skills: Proficient with dealership CRM systems (e.g., Vin solutions, DealerSocket) and Inventory Management tools (vAuto or similar).
  • Languages: English required. Bilingual candidates (Spanish, Polish, or Arabic) are highly valued in the Palos Hills market. 
  • Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record and valid state license required.

Responsibilities 
  • Recruit and hire salespeople for a variety of positions
  • Educate salespeople on the most effective ways to generate leads, provide thorough follow-up, and close deals
  • Oversee the dealership’s day-to-day activities, maintaining a high degree of employee morale 
  • Track prospective and existing customers using the company’s preferred CRM from initial contact to closing the deal and beyond
  • Foster high customer satisfaction with the car buying experience, encouraging referrals and repeat business
  • Track car sales on a regular basis and forecast future sales
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required, a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 
  • A minimum of five years of car dealership experience, with at least one year in a management role, is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Strong working knowledge of the automotive industry and any local, state, or federal regulations that affect vehicle sales and/or the automotive industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic computer programs
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required
