The Role
The Welding Apprenticeship Program is a 90 day, part time training opportunity designed to bridge the gap between technical school completion and full time employment. This program provides hands on experience, structured mentorship, and skill development in a real world shop environment.

  • Work under the guidance of an assigned mentor to develop welding skills and practical experience
  • Assist with material preparation, joint fit up, welding, and finishing tasks
  • Practice and improve welding techniques across various processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux Cored)
  • Follow all company safety protocols, procedures, and quality standards at all times
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints and weld symbols with increasing independence
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement in technical skills, productivity, and accuracy
  • Accept coaching and feedback professionally and apply it to daily work
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, strong teamwork, and professional conduct

    • Provide proof of program completion (certificate or transcript)
  • Meet all pre employment requirements, including background check, drug screen, and physical (as applicable)
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to build a career in welding and the skilled trades
  • Show willingness to learn, follow direction, and accept hands on coaching
  • Possess a safety first mindset and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Have basic knowledge of welding processes and shop practices
  • Be able to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, lifting, bending, etc.)

Nice to haves:
