Position: International Operations/Purchasing Clerk
Location: Anaheim, CA
Hours: 8AM to 5PM
Company Overview:
Our client is a recognized leader in the electronics industry, renowned for its innovation and commitment to excellence. With multiple locations across the United States, they are actively seeking skilled professionals to support their operations in Orange County, CA.
Position Summary
Support our global supply chain and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, maintaining inventory levels, managing supplier communications, and supporting product lifecycle initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience working with subcontract manufacturers and electronic component suppliers and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to maintain appropriate finished goods inventory levels.
  • Release and administer purchase orders to ensure timely procurement of materials and components.
  • Coordinate with subcontract manufacturers and electronic component suppliers regarding purchase orders, production schedules, and delivery status.
  • Expedite purchase orders daily and provide accurate updates on product status.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to support new product introductions, engineering changes, and product lifecycle management.
  • Maintain and update the consignment inventory database.
  • Generate and distribute monthly inventory and purchasing reports.
  • Manage the transfer of technical documentation and manufacturing files to TK suppliers.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and ensure compliance with import/export requirements, including customs and duty regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while supporting cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Perform additional purchasing and supply chain duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of purchasing or supply chain experience supporting subcontract manufacturers and electronic component suppliers.
  • Experience with freight forwarding, international shipping, customs regulations, and import duties.
  • Working knowledge of electronic components, cable and cable assemblies, sheet metal fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong purchasing, planning, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience supporting electronics manufacturing or contract manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and production planning principles.
  • Familiarity with international sourcing and supplier management.
