International Operations Agent

Team Worldwide- National Service Center is looking to add another experienced member to their International Operations team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of proven experience in international airfreight forwarding operations. The position can be officed from our Branch office in Grapevine, TX or our Corporate location in Winnsboro, TX.

Job Description

The International Operation Agent's primary responsibility is to meet or exceed the expectations of our clients, each and every time we are of service to them, by responding quickly and proactively to challenges and facilitating a quick and positive solution to their international airfreight needs.

Position Overview and Responsibilities

  • Prioritizing, scheduling, and routing shipments for air import/export.
  • Quoting international air shipments
  • Maintaining accurate status updates for import/export shipments.
  • Ensuring regulatory and country level compliance.
  • Responding to inquiries from overseas agents/offices in a timely fashion.
  • Interacting with customers and their key personnel as needed.
  • Maintaining and growing relationships on Team’s behalf with both existing and new customers and carriers.
  • Handling and quickly resolve any issues with customers, Team branches, and agents.
  • Communicating daily with customers to keep them informed of changes pertaining to their shipments, should an update apply or be required.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the International Operations Team Lead

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in international airfreight forwarding operations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Creative problem solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of airfreight movement including pricing, documentation and shipment management.
  • Working knowledge of applicable state, federal and international laws and regulations (Federal Maritime Commissions, Interstate Commerce Commission, Customs, environmental, import/export, maritime).

  • Sitting at a computer for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
