POSITION SUMMARY:
Interns will learn and assist the Director of Strategic Operations and Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth with operational and administrative tasks while gaining valuable experience in the sports and recreation industry.
INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:
- Interns will complete a structured internship designed to provide real-world experience in sports management, with exposure to both operational execution and strategic, data-driven decision-making.
- Selected interns may assist in pulling, organizing, and analyzing financial and operational data to support budgeting, revenue tracking, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
- Will complete an internship to gain real-world experience in sports management
- Some students may have longer or shorter practicum requirements with less time commitment and commitment length will be addressed individually
- We will develop an intern schedule to accommodate any individual requirements (i.e., class commitments)
- Interns may be required to help during special events and additional projects that are not related to their specific area
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong desire to learn
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Demonstrate success with multi-tasking and organizing multiple priorities
- Self-motivated and has initiative to complete tasks in a timely fashion
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be willing to work outside for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently a student or a new graduate
- A student majoring in finance, business administration, sport management or related field
