You'll be equipped with the necessary tools, including electronic health record systems, for efficient documentation and seamless communication across the team.

• Conduct one-on-one therapeutic sessions that provide emotional support and intervention strategies under the supervision of nursing staff.
• Observe and document patient behavior and progress, ensuring that records and notes are completed accurately and promptly by the end of each shift.
• Orient patients and their families to the facility and ensure they understand the therapeutic process, goals, and available resources.
• Assist patients with personal needs as necessary and advocate for their required services.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes in behavior or emotional states to the treatment team.
• Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks and support the overall efficiency of the treatment plan's implementation.
• Participate actively in team meetings, collaborating with other mental health professionals to evaluate treatment plans and make necessary adjustments.
• Demonstrate crisis intervention skills, identifying warning signs of aggressive behavior and intervening appropriately to ensure patient safety.

The Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse population, including individuals facing mental health challenges, couples navigating relational issues, and families seeking support in crisis. Your role is vital in fostering a therapeutic environment that empowers clients to achieve their mental health goals, all while embracing the cultural and social dynamics that affect their well-being. Providing tailored therapy to meet the distinct needs of each patient is a key expectation in this role.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Possession of an independent license recognized by the state, either as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Limited or provisional licenses will not be accepted.
• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, formulate treatment plans, and implement effective interventions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a sympathetic nature and an ability to build rapport with clients of all backgrounds.
• Strong computer literacy, particularly with electronic documentation and telehealth platforms.

• Experience in an outpatient or community mental health setting preferred.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or family systems theory.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may be available based on client load and performance metrics.
