Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic individual counseling sessions remotely under the supervision of a designated nurse, focusing on patient-specific treatment goals.
  • Monitor and document patient progress with accuracy, creating legible progress notes by the end of each shift that reflect the patient’s journey toward their mental health objectives.
  • Orient new patients and their families regarding the treatment process, addressing concerns and enhancing understanding of therapeutic strategies.
  • Support patients in addressing personal needs, offering empathetic and appropriate assistance as necessary throughout their treatment.
  • Advocate for patients by identifying when additional services are required and collaborating with the clinical team to implement those services.
  • Utilize time management skills effectively to prioritize tasks and deliver therapeutic interventions efficiently.
  • Report any changes in patients' behaviors, demonstrating an understanding of potential behavioral challenges and crisis indicators.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on providing services to a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our therapists are committed to serving the community by addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. The role requires the ability to work empathetically with a wide range of patients, understanding cultural sensitivities and individual needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
  • Possession of an independent license (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW) as issued by the state board; limited or provisional licenses are not accepted.
  • The ability to make professional evaluations and decisions regarding treatment planning and implementation is critical.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, along with a compassionate and sympathetic disposition, are essential for success in this role.
  • Strong proficiency with computer systems for documentation and telehealth services.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in a community health setting or those familiar with telehealth methodologies will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and knowledge of evidence-based interventions is advantageous for this position.
