Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse

As an CVOR Nurse (RN), you will:

  • Assist cardiovascular surgeons during operative procedures
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery
  • Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety
  • Manage surgical instruments and supplies efficiently
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care and education
  • Document surgical procedures and patient information accurately

A few must-haves for OR Nurses:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensed with in the state of Indiana
  • 2 years of recent and related experience in CVOR settings, as required by facility
  • Level 1 Trauma experience
  • Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
  • Must be able to remain calm under pressure
  • Proficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordingly
  • Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by facility
