Job description

TITLE: Forklift Driver C
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Operate in a safe and efficient manner. Facilitating the movement of product and raw materials from one location to another, properly load and unload trailers, as well as properly pull product for shipping to customer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Forklift Operator Certification preferred
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Follows established procedures including standard operating procedures (SOP's), cGMP, food safety regulations, and safety procedures
  • Basic forklift operation. Properly complete Forklift PM Checklist at the beginning of their shift
  • Become familiar with various customer product and where and how they are to be stored.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
  • Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour
  • Subject to loud noises
  • Hazards, such as moving machinery, electrical currents, debris, chemicals, gases
TRAINING:
  • Safety in the Workplace Rules and Regulations.
  • cGMP's and SOP's.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
  • Stooping/Bending
  • Kneeling
  • Reaching
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Grasping
  • Getting on/off forklift
