Job Summary:
Liebherr USA is a successful international company that specializes in various products and technologies. The IT Applications & Development Supervisor is responsible for managing the design and development of the company’s application solutions while supervising a team to ensure compliance with IT standards and business requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Configure and maintain the company’s IT application portfolio (service catalog).
• Supervise the administration of the company’s internal and external portals as necessary.
• Configure and maintain automated business processes as defined by the business.
• Support in-house applications and integration of systems.
• Ensure compliance with IT standards and company policies.
• Develop (local) strategies to meet process and business requirements.
• Develop new reports and tools as required by internal customers.
• Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and reports on projects of varying sizes and platforms.
• Perform testing on various software and reporting systems.
• Validate that user expectations are met.
• Ensure creation and maintenance of work instructions and procedures including system and user manuals, documentation, change logs, and wikis.
• Stay current on emerging technologies through training, independent research, and involvement with standards-setting Liebherr groups.
• Provide timely reporting on team progress and own assignments.
• Knowledge and experience working within an Agile/SCRUM environment is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
• Experience working with a helpdesk ticketing system.
• Manage Direct Reports (:4).
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Application Development team.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or computer science and five years demonstrated work experience in an application development, testing, or analyst (or similar) role in an agile environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of two years’ experience managing multiple direct reports.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
• Experience working with a helpdesk ticketing system.
Preferred:
• Knowledge and experience working within an Agile/SCRUM environment is a plus.
