The Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Integration Engineer (Junior) will support the mission of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Engineering Directorate Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Office (DES) in the role of Integration Manager (IM) to test the Missile Defense System (MDS) in a distributed Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environment, including MDS Ground Test (GT) events and MDS Flight Test support (pre-mission risk reduction, mission execution team training, and post-flight reconstruction). They will provide integration operations support to accomplish the agency's Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) activities, Ground Test and Flight Test.
As a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Integration Engineer (Junior) your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Designs and develops moderately complex test programs, processes, and systems to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services. May design and build moderately complex test stations
  • Support integration planning and execution for GT, FT, and CDI events, ensuring OSF Framework build requirements and functionality are met.
  • Serve as DES-I representative during events, coordinating issue resolution with integration teams and providing status reporting (e.g., EODs).
  • Coordinate communications, staffing, travel requirements, and internal briefings in support of event execution.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of test resources and M&S configuration management, including Change Requests and software updates

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
  • Ability to work in a technically complex environment interfacing with simulation developers, integration personnel, analysts, planners, testers, and stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting integrated system test events.
  • Experience with staffing coordination and event resource management.
  • Familiarity with real-time distributed simulation infrastructures, MDS element operations, and DoD Operational and Developmental Testing.
  • General understanding of overall MDS infrastructure and element capabilities.
