Job description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a PROJECT MANAGER II to support the Vice Provost, Associate Vice Provost and Senior Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs with leading multi-year comprehensive data project coordination and operational management for complex initiatives, including project planning, analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation to ensure projects are completed efficiently, meet desired objectives, and maintain compliance with institutional requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates and manages all aspects of multi-year data related projects, including data management and/or business intelligence solutions implementations; this includes project analysis, design and implementation.
  • Assists in the development of project objectives and business plans.
  • Oversees conduct of project operations including support staff. Develops and monitors project timelines.
  • Monitors project budgets; may conduct project financial feasibility studies.
  • May handle space planning, external contracts, purchasing, and equipment inventory/repair.
  • Administrative support for Vice Provost and Associate Vice Provost as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
(Annual Salary: $52,555 - $85,400)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience managing multi-year data related projects such as data management and/or business intelligence solution implementations; PMP or related certification is preferred.
