Tri-CAP is looking for a professional, customer-focused Seasonal Energy Assistance Intake Worker to join our Community Development team! What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who has:
- Strong Communication skills; ability to handle high call volume โ Ability to provide polite, clear, and friendly customer service over the phone to all participants; includes answering questions, giving status updates, obtaining information for application processing, and providing referrals to community resources
- Strong Office Skills and Computer Proficiency โ Ability to use Microsoft Office, email, and other basic computer skills; data entry skills and ability to use a desktop scanner
- Strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize and adapt with changing needs โ Processing applications, including crisis applications as requested; maintain and monitor household information files
- Customer service mindset โ Must show a willingness to work in a fast-paced setting, assisting clients from a variety of backgrounds and assisting customers in completion of applications as necessary
- Flexibility and Collaboration โ Assist Energy Assistance team with the emergency after-hours phone for crisis deliveries and Emergency Repair or Replacement events.
Qualifications
- High school equivalency and one (1) year of human services related experience
- Knowledge of community resources serving low-income populations
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to work well independently and stay on task
