Job description

Make an impact by helping customers keep the coverage they count on.

As an Insurance Retention Agent, you will play an important role in helping customers protect what matters most. In this position, you will connect with members, identify retention opportunities, and recommend insurance solutions that meet their needs.

We provide paid training and cover the cost to earn your Personal Lines license, giving you a strong foundation to build insurance expertise, grow your career, and deliver Five Diamond Service.

Start Date: September 28th, 2026

Work Schedule: Hybrid Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm. Tues/Wed/Thursday in office; Mon/Fri remote

This role is currently assigned to 110 Royal Little Drive, Providence, RI as its hybrid reporting location. The club anticipates that this position may transition to the Lincoln, RI Insurance Center once additional space becomes available, currently targeted for mid-2027. 

What You Will Do:

  • Proactively identify policyholders at risk of canceling and connect with them to retain coverage and preserve their existing insurance policies.
  • Reach out to customers who may qualify for premium discounts, offer policy rewrites when new products become available, and cross-sell insurance solutions that fit their needs.
  • Provide inbound and outbound phone support to at-risk customers and respond to marketing-driven calls related to policy reviews.
  • Promote AAA Membership as a valuable insurance benefit by enrolling new members and renewing or reinstating existing memberships to help customers access discounts.
  • Build knowledge of insurance carrier products, services, systems, and processes while following agency procedures for quoting, binding coverage, and processing member payments.
  • Support sales and prospecting efforts by maintaining accurate prospect records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities in accordance with department policies, procedures, and service standards.

What You Will Need

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales or customer service experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey detailed information
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and conditions
  • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning skills

Work Requirements:

  • Must have a quiet, dedicated home office space free from distractions for work-from-home days
  • Able to work a hybrid schedule, which includes 3 days in our RI office

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Must obtain a Personal Lines license within 30 days of training
