Specialty Human Services - Great American Insurance Group
The Specialty Human Services division is hiring for a Product Analyst/Product Specialist! Remote applicants may be considered if qualified. If local to the Cincinnati area, candidates will work on a hybrid schedule of 4 days in office and 1 day from home.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Develops new products and/or solutions to enhance premium volume growth and ensures the competitiveness and profitability of existing products.
  • Conducts comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborates with underwriting, actuarial, and claims teams to design innovative insurance solutions and develop product specifications, pricing strategies, and policy language.
  • Analyzes market data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and improvements and new product development.
  • Develops and executes product strategies and roadmaps to achieve business goals and conducts SWOT analysis to evaluate product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Participates in developing product and rate revisions, underwriting guidelines, manuals, and procedures.
  • Works closely with marketing, business development, and insurance operations teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product support.
  • May participate in developing and presenting trainings regarding new products and product changes to internal teams and agents.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related fields.
  • Experience: Generally, 5 or more years of related underwriting or product experience. Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation preferred, including Associate in Underwriting (AU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Program in General Insurance (INS), Associate of Risk Management (ARM), Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) or other applicable designations.
  • Scope of Job/Qualifications: Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and lines of business. Develops and maintains knowledge of industry laws and regulations. Proficiency in interpreting competitive data and industry trends. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions. Demonstrated decision-making ability and customer-centric mindset. Demonstrates excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships. Position may require occasional travel.
  • Travel up to 10% is required.

$90,000.00 -$130,000.00
