As the Senior HR Operations Manager, you will be the strategic HR business partner and operational lead for a fast-growing site. You will counsel leaders, drive HR operational excellence, lead the local HR team, and serve as the site's FAA Designated Employer Representative (DER) for the Drug & Alcohol Program.

Location: Cincinnati, OH (on site)

What you'll do: 

  • Partner with site leadership to develop and execute HR and talent strategies (recruiting, retention, succession).
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of 3 Senior HR Generalists and 1 HR Onboarding Specialist; oversee daily HR workflow.
  • Manage employee relations: investigations, disciplinary actions, terminations, and accommodations.
  • Act as the FAA Designated Employer Representative (DER) for the Drug & Alcohol Program: oversee administration, ensure DOT/FAA compliance, coordinate testing logistics, manage confidential recordkeeping, and liaise with third party administrators and regulators.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring strategy for the Cincinnati site; ensure that staffing targets to best support business objectives.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to ensure robust training programs for hourly and salaried team members are in place to support our ability to scale.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policy; maintain HRIS and reporting.
  • Support division-wide initiatives aimed process optimization in the delivery of HR services to the business.
     

Position Requirements: 

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years HR experience supporting large employee populations (500-700+).
  • HR experience within aviation/aerospace or manufacturing environments
  • 3+ years of leading a team of HR Generalists to high-performance outcomes.
  • 2+ years prior experience leading an organization through rapid growth and transformation.
  • Employee relations background.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution, and coaching skills.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive investigations and confidential matters.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS/talent systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. employment laws.

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1 - 2 years prior experience as a DER (Designated Employer Representative). 
  • HR certification preferred (PHR/SPHR or equivalent).
  • Aerospace, or aerospace maintenance & repair operations (MRO) experience.
