Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

Job Description: 

L3Harris is seeking a detail-oriented intern to support the Communications team and play a role in the development of messaging and communications materials. As part of a dynamic organization, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with the team to execute communications strategies in alignment with company announcements, integrated campaigns and initiatives. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Write, edit, and publish content across channels, including email, newsletters, intranet, and digital platforms 

  • Research and prepare briefing materials, background documents, and Q&A content 

  • Assist with media tracking, communications metrics, engagement reporting, and related analysis 

  • Maintain communications tools and platforms, including intranet pages, SharePoint sites, distribution lists, and editorial calendars 

  • Monitor communications trends and recommend process or content improvements 

  • Collaborate with communications, marketing, public relations, and internal stakeholders to support key initiatives 

  • Manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality 

Qualifications: 

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in public relations, communications, radio/television, Journalism, or related field

Preferred Additional Skills: 

  • Knowledge of AP Stylebook guidelines 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

  • Previous experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint 

  • Previous experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry

PAY TRANSPARENCY: In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $21.00 - $41.50 per hour. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $18.50 - $36.50 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
