With almost 1,100 employees across the U.S. and Canada, our Eden Prairie, MN headquarters supports a growing network of mills, warehouses, and production facilities.
Why We Need You
We're looking for a Divisional Controller to lead accounting operations and deliver financial insights for our Procurement business unit and St. Peter plant location. In this role, you will ensure financial integrity, support strategic decision-making, and drive performance through accurate reporting, planning, and analysis. You'll play a critical role in maintaining strong financial controls while partnering with leaders across the business to improve outcomes, optimize costs, and support continued growth.
Who You'll Be Working With
You'll report to the Corporate Controller and collaborate closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, including plant leadership, commodity traders, and business unit leaders. This role sits at the intersection of finance and operations, requiring you to build strong relationships across teams and act as a trusted advisor. You'll also partner with cross-functional groups on system implementations, process improvements, and strategic initiatives that impact performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead month-end close processes, including general ledger entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations
  • Provide financial planning and analysis, including budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting
  • Monitor and analyze inventory valuations, conversion costs, and operational yields
  • Partner with traders and business leaders to analyze market data, strategies, and performance drivers
  • Support audits, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business

What You Bring
You bring a strong accounting and finance foundation, along with hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and business support. You're comfortable working with data, systems, and stakeholders to turn insights into action.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA or advanced degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF) and data analysis capabilities
  • Proven ability to handle financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
