Job description

We are seeking an experienced and creative Instructional Designer to develop engaging, effective, and scalable learning solutions with a strong emphasis on video-based training and multimedia learning experiences. This role will be responsible for analyzing learning needs, collaborating with subject matter experts, and creating high-quality instructional content that supports organizational learning objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, video production, multimedia development, and eLearning technologies. This position offers an opportunity to create impactful learner-centered experiences through innovative training solutions, including video tutorials, eLearning modules, virtual learning, and blended learning programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement instructional strategies and learning programs utilizing instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning formats.
  • Create engaging video-based learning experiences including software demonstrations, scenario-based training, microlearning content, instructional walkthroughs, and narrated presentations.
  • Develop eLearning courses, training curricula, storyboards, scripts, job aids, assessments, and supporting instructional materials.
  • Produce, edit, and enhance professional training videos using multimedia and screen-capture technologies.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to convert complex concepts into learner-friendly training solutions.
  • Utilize Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) and Camtasia to develop interactive and engaging learning content.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and recommend effective learning solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure all learning materials meet organizational standards for branding, accessibility, quality, and consistency.
  • Manage multiple instructional design and multimedia development projects while meeting deadlines and project milestones.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews, content editing, and consistency checks across training materials and multimedia assets.
  • Develop learning content tailored to diverse audiences and learning styles.
  • Apply strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address project challenges and maintain delivery schedules.
  • Stay current with emerging instructional design trends, learning technologies, video production techniques, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of instructional design experience developing adult learning and eLearning solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience creating professional video-based training content, including scripting, storyboarding, screen recording, audio narration, and video editing.
  • Advanced proficiency with:
    • Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise)
    • Camtasia
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
  • Experience in curriculum design, training needs analysis, instructional design, multimedia development, and eLearning creation.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong editing, presentation, and visual storytelling capabilities.
  • Ability to independently develop training solutions from needs analysis through implementation and evaluation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience creating microlearning, video tutorials, and multimedia learning assets.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive learning design practices.
  • Experience working within corporate learning and development environments.
