Inside Sales Representative - Building Products Manufacturer - Base Salary to 65k/year - Allegan, MI

  • Our client is a growing manufacturer of innovative composite building products serving the commercial construction industry. The company designs and manufactures energy-efficient continuous insulation and composite sub-framing systems that support modern commercial building envelope requirements, including compliance with current ASHRAE standards. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their Inside Sales team in Allegan, Michigan. This position supports architects, specification writers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other commercial construction professionals by identifying opportunities, providing product solutions, and driving sales growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Source new sales opportunities through company-provided leads, CRM database, Dodge Construction Network (CMD/Dodge) project leads, outbound cold calls, existing quotes, and email campaigns
  • Maintain and update CRM database daily with customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activity
  • Manage the sales process from initial prospecting through quote follow-up and order close
  • Develop business within an assigned sales territory by generating new opportunities and maintaining existing customer relationships
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals
  • Provide customers with pricing, shipping information, lead times, product availability, and order updates
  • Resolve customer questions and support issue resolution throughout the sales process
  • Identify customer project requirements and recommend appropriate commercial building product solutions
  • Conduct virtual AIA continuing education Lunch and Learn presentations as required
  • Research prospective accounts, identify key decision makers, and generate new business opportunities
  • Maintain and expand a pipeline of architects, specification writers, general contractors, subcontractors, and commercial construction professionals
  • Partner with Territory Sales Representatives to support customer accounts and project opportunities
  • Participate in company-provided product and sales training

Qualifications:

  • Proven inside sales experience
  • Experience in a high-volume outbound sales call environment
  • Experience using CRM software to manage leads, opportunities, and customer relationships
  • Track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas
  • Customer service experience supporting technical or mechanical products
  • Experience selling into the commercial construction, building materials, manufacturing, or building products industries
  • Experience working with general contractors, architects, specification writers, or commercial construction professionals
  • Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate technical product solutions
  • Equivalent work experience or a 4-year degree in Business
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 55k – 65k/year range, plus commission
