Business Development Representative 

We’re looking for a highly motivated, competitive, and tenacious Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our fast-growing sales organization. In this hybrid inbound/outbound role, you’ll drive new business opportunities and build pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and engaging key decision-makers in government (Federal, SLED) and large commercial organizations. 

You’ll work closely with Sales and Marketing to design and execute strategic outreach campaigns, combining cold calls, personalized emails, LinkedIn engagement, and creative multi-channel tactics. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a high-energy, results-driven environment and takes pride in building meaningful relationships that open doors for impactful and lasting partnerships.

Work Location

This position is eligible for remote work. Priority consideration will be given to candidates based in the DMV (DC, MD, VA) area to support occasional in-person collaboration.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

  • Research, identify, and target ICP organizations and their key decision-makers across multiple sectors and industries. 
  • Proactively engage prospects through cold calls, highly personalized emails, LinkedIn messaging, and social selling. 
  • Conduct high-level conversations with executives (C-Level, VP, Director) to introduce our solutions and assess fit. 
  • Design and execute outbound campaigns in collaboration with Marketing and Account Executives to drive awareness and generate qualified opportunities. 
  • Meet and exceed monthly KPIs, including outreach volume, meetings booked, and qualified opportunities generated. 
  • Leverage leading prospecting tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and 6Sense to enhance your workflow and efficiency. 
  • Track all outreach activities, conversations, and performance metrics in the CRM. 
  • Continuously refine your approach through account mapping, contact research, competitive intelligence, and best-practice sharing. 
  • Attend relevant industry events (virtual and in-person) to build relationships and stay current on market trends. 

Who You Are 

  • 1+ years of Outbound Business Development or Sales experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS or technology environment. 
  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding outbound activity and pipeline generation targets. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and lead executive-level conversations. 
  • Confident and comfortable orchestrating cold outreach across multiple channels. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. 
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a growth mindset and the discipline to work independently to reach aggressive goals. 
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement platforms (Salesforce, Salesloft, HubSpot, 6Sense, ZoomInfo, SalesNav, etc).
