Position Summary

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing the inside sales team while ensuring timely, accurate, and professional customer support throughout the quotation and order management process. This role oversees daily inside sales operations, drives performance metrics, supports customer relationship development, and ensures adherence to company pricing, policies, and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, customer service experience, technical sales knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial sales environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise inside sales staff and daily sales operations.
  • Establish training programs and coordinate quotation preparation in response to customer inquiries in accordance with controlled pricing, discounts, terms and conditions, and company sales policies.
  • Maintaining the CRM
  • Monitor and evaluate individual inside sales performance.
  • Review customer purchase orders for accuracy including pricing, discounts, terms and conditions, and part numbers prior to order entry.
  • Ensure inside sales staff maintains accurate order entry and documentation within company systems.
  • Ensure timely and proactive communication with customers regarding order status, project updates, shipment schedules, and servicerelated matters.
  • Train inside sales staff on quoting projects, valve applications, and customer service expectations.
  • Ensure customer requests regarding sales order status, expedited shipments, documentation, and bills of material are handled efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintain ownership and oversight of customer orders through shipment, invoicing, and payment collection processes.
  • Document customer complaints and assist in resolution efforts.
  • Collaborate with operations, purchasing, warehouse, and other departments to resolve customer service and orderrelated issues.
  • Develop and maintain sales metrics including: oQuote response times
  • Quote-to-order ratios oIndividual salesperson performance
  • Monthly sales improvements oCustomer response performance
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Promote Walworth valve products and company capabilities.
  • Represent the company in a professional and customerfocused manner at all times.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on team activities, performance, and sales progress to the Director of Business Development.

    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred.
  • 23 years of inside sales experience, preferably within the valve or industrial distribution industry.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong PC and ERP system skills.
  • Customerfocused mindset with strong problemsolving abilities.
