Job description

Adecco is currently assisting a local Customer in their search for an CNC Mill Operator position in Fenton, MO! This is a great opportunity to further your existing skills for our CNC Mill Operator while learning new ones to assist you in your career. Shift: 2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday 2:15pm - 12:45am (4- 10 hour shifts)

Weekly paycheck 

Pay: $27.00

Responsibilities:

  • Setup, layout and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills

  • Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as fixtures, cutting speeds, depth of cut and determines sequence of operations.

  • Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder.

  • Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures.

  • Moves controls to position tool and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds and depth of cut.

  • Sets up fixture, starts machine.

  • Requires ability to read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.

  • Observes operation of machine and verifies conformity of machined work piece to specifications.

  • Keeps work area clean and orderly

  • Follows all Company rules and safety policies.

  • Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.

  • Core Competency Requirements:

  • Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.

  • Adjusts, trim and fitting parts to close tolerances.

  • Follows visual aids (standard work) to ensure work is correct.

  • May perform testing of assembled product.

  • Make up cartons, print labels, insert protective packing material, seal finishing product.

  • Meet efficiency rates.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met.

  • Work within all safety guidelines and wear all required PPE (steel toe shoes, hearing protection and

  • safety glasses).

  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor or team leader.

  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition - 5S.

  • Must be flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells.

  • Performs related duties as assigned by supervision

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ yrs of previous CNC experience

  • Ability to add and subtract/basic math.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Good hand-eye coordination.

  • Ability to lift up to 25lb.

  • Ability to stand 90% of shift.

Pay Details: $27.00 per hour
