Production Machine Operator

Join our team as a Production Machine Operator, where you’ll play a critical role in delivering accurate, high-quality mail production while operating industry-leading inserting and folding equipment.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting machinery, and being part of a dependable production team that values integrity, excellence, and growth.

Position Summary

The Production Machine Operator is responsible for the accurate and efficient production of mail processing jobs. This role primarily functions as an Inserter Operator but may assist in additional production duties as needed. Hours may vary depending on mail volume and business needs, and overtime may be required.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate inserting and folding equipment daily with accuracy and efficiency
  • Set up and run multiple production jobs involving various paper and envelope sizes
  • Perform preventative machine maintenance including belt cleaning, compressed air blowouts, and sensor cleaning
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments to maximize production efficiency
  • Complete jobs according to production schedules and leadership priorities
  • Meet daily production goals for total pieces and completed jobs
  • Follow all operational, safety, and quality control procedures
  • Utilize computer software for machine logins, job tracking, and camera setup
  • Assist in other production areas as needed
  • Move materials using hand jacks, electric forklifts, or other equipment
  • Load and unload materials from pallets, racks, and shelving
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the production area
  • Read, understand, and follow machine operation manuals and procedures

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Warehouse and production facility environment
  • Frequent use of production equipment, computers, printers, inserters, folders, sorters, and hand tools
  • Ability to stand and remain active for 8–10 hours per shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 25 lbs
  • Must be comfortable working around machinery and moving equipment
