Location: 605 Territorial Dr Bolingbrook, IL 60440 
Work Hours: 12 hour shifts 3 - 3, with expected additional hours/weekends mandatory
Pay: Starting at $24 per hour, based on experience and skills

What we are looking for: 

The Set-Up Operator is responsible for configuring, operating, and maintaining multiple types of lettershop inserting systems, including MPS, APS, and Epic equipment. This role ensures accurate, efficient, and high-quality mail production while meeting client specifications and production deadlines 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Set up and operate MPS, APS, and Epic inserting systems for a variety of direct mail and transactional jobs
  • Review and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production schedules
  • Configure machine components including feeders, folders, inserters, cameras, and conveyors 
  • Load materials such as envelopes, inserts, and forms into equipment 
  • Perform test runs and calibrate machines to ensure proper alignment, folding, inserting, and sealing 
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues such as jams, double feeds, or misreads
  • Ensure accuracy of mail pieces, including correct matching and sequencing when applicable
  • Verify jobs meet USPS regulations and client quality standards 
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor mechanical adjustments 
  • Document production data, downtime, and quality checks 
  • Collaborate with supervisors, quality control, and maintenance teams 
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures 

Who you are:  

  • Experience operating MPS, APS, Epic, or similar lettershop inserting equipment preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and job specifications 
  • Basic computer skills for machine interfaces and reporting systems 
  • High attention to detail and quality control 
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment 
  • Good communication and teamwork skills 
  • High school diploma or GED required 

Supervisory Responsibilities: None 

Work Environment: Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility 

Physical Demands: 

  • Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds 
  • Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment
