Job description

Job Summary

This bindery position is responsible for operating cutting, folding, saddle-stitching, and die-cutting equipment. This includes maintenance and operation of the machine, as well as meeting the quality standards of the business. The position requires a technical and mechanical skill set along with a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Responsible for producing finished products from bindery and meeting company’s quality standards
  • Setup, maintain, and operate cutter, folders, saddle-stitcher, die-cutter, and other bindery equipment
  • Collaborate with prepress on imposition requirements
  • Troubleshoot bindery and finishing equipment related issues
  • Ability or willingness to learn is very important
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Complies with all OSHA safety requirements
  • Moderately heavy lifting
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and reach
  • Fast paced environment
  • Modern equipment with electronics
  • Coordinate schedule with Production Manager to ensure projects are ready by due date
