Job Opportunity: Hardware Technician - O'Hare International Airport (ORD)
Location: Terminal 5, O'Hare International Airport
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: All shifts, including overnight
Rate: $26-$30/hour
Shift Flexibility Required: (24/7 Onsite Support)
We are seeking qualified candidates for a Level 1 Hardware Technician (Desktop Support Analyst) to support CUPPS systems at O'Hare International Airport. This is a hands-on, onsite role requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment.
Key Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass a detailed 10-year background check.
  • Business casual attire required.
  • Parking provided.
  • Core desktop support fundamentals:
    • DOS commands
    • Windows Control Panel settings
    • DNS configuration
    • TCP/IP settings
Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for:
    • Airline Check-in Reservation LAN Systems
    • Airline Kiosks and Departure Gate Equipment
    • Gate Tower Hardware and Software
  • Log, track, and resolve fault calls; escalate as needed.
  • Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on core equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues (including wireless handhelds and printers).
  • Apply software patches and updates.
  • Manage warranty repairs, asset tracking, and consumables.
  • Maintain and support kiosk operations (e.g., paper jams, connectivity, calibration, peripheral troubleshooting).
  • Coordinate with L3/L4 support teams and site administrators.
  • Perform daily data backups and periodic maintenance on workstations, printers, and servers.
  • Monitor and replenish spare parts inventory.
  • Package and ship defective equipment for warranty repair.
