Duties can involve working with either hardware, software, or both, depending on the size of the business. You can also specialize in a particular aspect of the network. Your primary goal is to guarantee the security and integrity of the system. Some infrastructure manager positions also focus on budget, periodic reviews, or negotiations with vendors.

To thrive as an Infrastructure Manager, you need expertise in IT infrastructure management, networking, and systems administration, often backed by a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
