Description:

The IT Specialist is responsible for providing frontline technical support and maintaining a consistent, reliable end-user technology experience across administrative and manufacturing operations. In addition to resolving day-to-day support issues, the role supports system maintenance, user access management, device setup and configuration, and participation in IT initiatives and business technology projects as assigned.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical support.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues across administrative and manufacturing environments.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, as mobile devices.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access (e.g., Active Directory, email systems).
  • Document incidents, solutions, and processes in the help desk system.
  • Escalate complex issues as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and training to users on basic IT functions and best practices.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, monitoring, and updates.
  • Participate in projects such as system upgrades and equipment rollouts as needed.
  • Support cross-functional efforts to improve business operations through technology by assisting with testing, documentation, training, and rollout of new tools or system enhancements.
  • Maintain documentation for IT processes, systems, and project activities to support knowledge sharing, consistency, and ongoing operational effectiveness.
