Job description

The Network Specialist II is responsible for providing quality services and solutions to our clients while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction. You will perform hardware installations, client onboarding, hosted voice installs, service-based repair calls, and proactive maintenance both remotely and at client locations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Install and maintain new and/or existing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems. Escalate issues beyond established skill set.
  • Install and support basic network systems including workstations and servers.
  • Support archive and backup systems.
  • Accurately create and maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures, including pick tickets, ticket updates, time entries, and timesheets.
  • Conduct scheduled onsite visits on a monthly or quarterly basis, run reports from RMM tool, and perform checklist of tasks to include updating documentation on SharePoint.
  • Perform new client onboarding, scan network for devices, inspect network equipment, document and label servers and infrastructure equipment, take pictures, and upload to SharePoint.
  • Create and update network diagrams using Microsoft Visio and upload to SharePoint.
  • Provide technical support and support advice to end-users/clients regarding operational and hardware/application issues.
  • Stay up to date with relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
  • Function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, client-oriented team.
  • Maintain parts and cable inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An associate degree and two years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License, proof of personal insurance, and a clean driving record
  • Current industry certifications, including Microsoft MTA, Cisco CMNA, VMWare VCA, CompTIA N+ / A+ / Security+ preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Basic experience with and understanding of network applications and protocols.
  • Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as MS Office applications and Visio.
  • Communication - Must possess strong communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people, and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations among all levels of an organization.
  • Commitment - See that a project or task is completed from start to finish. Demonstrate thoroughness.
  • Initiative - Be a self-starter. Don't wait to be told what to do when you see a problem, however if you can't resolve it yourself, use resources to find someone who can.

Pay Range:$58,301 - $90,367 annually + quarterly bonus opportunity
