Job Description:

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As an Information Systems Manager, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customer. You will play a crucial role in supporting Medicaid and Healthcare information systems.

  • Act as primary technical contact for the customer and the program
  • Day-to-day liaison with the government customer for the technical teams.
  • Hire and train System Maintenance and Modification staff. Manages the staff and activities related to information systems solutions. Responsible for the employment, training, motivation, and evaluation of assigned staff.
  • May lead planning and policy development issues
  • Develop and manage procedures for routine systems maintenance and ensure their conformance with the departments goals and company/customer objectives
  • Manages the development and administration of schedule and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities
  • Manages and prioritizes information systems needs and analyzes project costs and feasibility
  • Keeps well-informed of new technologies and industry best practices and trends and then plans and advises for implementation
  • Provides guidance and solutions to ensure the information systems needs align with the strategic departmental initiatives

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your Systems Management expertise, along with a drive for innovation, to GDIT. The Information Systems Manager must have:

  • Eight (8) years of supervisory experience in Medicaid systems design, development, and implementation (DDI)
  • Eight (8) years of recent experience managing DDI work within multiple functional areas of an MMIS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field
  • PMP or other related certification is preferred.

Additional Information:

Work Arrangements: Remote. Hybrid, based in the Montgomery, AL area. Expect to be on site 2-5 days a week.

Security: A background check will be required.

Timeline: This is a contingent job posting. Work is not expected to begin until March 2027 or later.

The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
