Role Overview

Position: Senior Business Systems Engineer (Salesforce & Billing Platform)

Role Purpose

The Senior Business Systems Engineer is a member of the Build team and plays an important role in advancing AI adoption within Business Systems. This role will help pilot agentic and LLM-assisted workflows, modernize development and deployment processes, and use automation to solve real engineering challenges.

While Salesforce and the billing platform are part of the systems this role will support, the main focus is on bringing AI-driven capabilities into the design, development, and operation of our systems. Key initiatives include internal platform migration, AI agent adoption, and CI/CD modernization.

This is a hands‑on engineering role that requires close collaboration with product, business, and architecture teams.

Responsibilities

  • Promote AI‑driven automation across the platform by actively exploring, piloting, and implementing solutions such as Einstein, Agentforce, and LLM‑assisted development workflows.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools while following development standards.
  • Contribute to CI/CD modernization efforts, including AI‑assisted code reviews and test automation.
  • Support and improve billing and Quote‑to‑Cash workflows as part of the broader platform, working closely with product and finance teams as needed.
  • Work closely with product managers, architects, QA, and other Business Systems Engineers during sprint execution, technical design, and code reviews.
  • Ensure solution quality through unit testing and automated test coverage. Partner with Production Support on root cause analysis when issues arise.
  • Identify technical debt and performance issues, and drive continuous improvement with a focus on automation and AI.
  • Share knowledge through documentation and peer collaboration, while providing informal guidance to junior Business Systems Engineers.
  • Support a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

Compensation:

Base Salary – $145,000 – 165,000

The base salary range reflects the full range for this position at Wasabi Technologies. At Wasabi, we believe in paying fairly and competitively, and individual compensation is determined based on factors such as job‑related experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Base pay is just one part of our total rewards approach. Depending on role eligibility, Wasabi team members may also receive additional compensation and benefits, including bonus or variable compensation, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support both professional growth and personal well‑being.
