Job Description:

As a Information Environment Analyst, you will be a key differentiator. Our work depends on an Information Environment Analyst joining our team to support a social media program in Fayetteville, NC. You will conduct social media research, leveraging your cultural and linguistic experience with regard to locations such as Iraq and Syria to analyze information outside the United States in a cyber environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, working both independently and as an important member of the team.

HOW AN INFORMATION ENVIRONMENT ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Develops and maintains expertise with designated regional issues and draws upon publicly available online information resources.

  • Reads and analyzes regional and ideological discussions in specified foreign language online media environments.

  • Examines current media statements or postings to support trend analysis and identify key communicators.

  • Demonstrates reading and analysis expertise in the assigned language, incorporating custom social media solutions to comprehend online environments and analyze trends effectively.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of online social media and different technologies, and documents activities, notes, and papers in English.

  • Monitors the status and growth of information communication technologies to make recommendations for program improvements.

  • Synthesizes information and presents briefings at the General Officer/Flag Officer (GOFO) level.

  • Applies linguistic and cultural expertise for quality control purposes.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related business or technical discipline; significant experience may be accepted in lieu.

  • Experience:7+ years of related experience. OSINT experience and military or Department of Defense experience are preferred.

  • Security clearance level:Active in-scope Top Secret/SCI Clearance.

  • Skills and abilities: Minimum 2/2 language proficiency (reading, writing, and understanding) is required; select candidates will be language-tested. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment with some evening, weekend, or shift work and potential travel.

The likely salary range for this position is $77,350 - $104,650. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
