The Role: Senior Information Management Analyst

Location: Raleigh, NC

Type: Contract to hire

What You ll Do:

The Senior Information Management Analyst is responsible for supporting day-to-day records management operations and assisting with the execution of company-wide information governance initiatives according to the Information Governance Policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform information governance management activities to include applying records retention schedules, assisting with records classification, storage, retrieval, and disposition, and supporting records searches, audits, and public records requests.
  • Ensure records are maintained in accordance with company policy, regulatory requirements, and industry s best practices.
  • Support continued improvement of records workflows and documentation procedures.
  • Maintain the execution of records and information governance initiatives.
  • Assist with content analysis to identify records, ROT (redundant, obsolete, trivial content), and retention requirements.
  • Create and maintain records management, user guides and standard operating procedures to support compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate record inventories and track record movements, ensuring that records are properly secured and accessible.
  • Anticipate department and organizational needs by supporting proactive planning, workflow improvements, and scalable information management practices.
  • Track assigned tasks and deadlines and communicate progress or issues to leadership.
  • Assist with the organizational transition from network file shares to SharePoint & Email governance initiatives.
  • Coordinate with team members on projects deliverables involving testing, data validation, process documentation, data preparation for content migration, and quality control tasks, ensuring processes are being followed and timelines are met.
  • Serve as a point of contact for all routine records related questions.
  • Work collaboratively with all business units to support and maintain records compliance.
  • Participate in training development and other change management efforts to help reinforce records policies and best practices. O. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor s degree in information management, business administration, library science, or related field is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in information management or governance.
  • Experience with managing records in all data formats, including paper, micrographics, electronic and other media formats.
  • Advanced understanding of records management, data lifecycle, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency within Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, and SharePoint is required. Experience working with document management systems is a plus.
  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or Microsoft 365/SharePoint certifications related to information protection or content management is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to follow structured rules and retention schedules.
  • Proven ability to lead projects or initiatives, anticipate future needs, and support process improvements that align with organizational goals.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to convey technical information in an understandable manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with writing SOPs or technical documentation is preferred.
  • Ability to work professionally with all levels of management, co-workers, and staff.
